HOW TO USE – APPLICATION
Step 1: Always start with your base coat – base coat is important and will improve your manicure by protecting your nails from stains, fill ridges and smoothes out nails without damage, can strengthen nails, reduce chipping and tip wear – prolonging the life of your manicure and can make glitter removal easier.
Step 2: To achieve an even placement of glitters on the nail (particularly when using glitter toppers with a clear base) in some cases it might be necessary to dab the glitter on any bare patches after your initial application, letting each coat dry before applying. Alternatively you can place a drop of polish in the centre of the nail and use the brush to push it out towards the edges.
Step 3: Finally finish your manicure with a top coat. A top coat can make a polish truly shine, as well as help drying your manicure, help with chip resistance, give the manicure a glossier finish, flatten out brush strokes and create a smooth finish to the polish.
REMOVAL
Most Indie polishes consist of solvent resistant glitters that can sometimes be difficult to remove compard to store bought manufactured nail polishes. You can try for normal remvoal with your standard nail polish removed however this can be a timely task. Although by using an acetone rich remover it can make glitter polish removal a lot easier.
There is also the foil method to remove your polish. Start by placing some cotton wool soaked in polish remover on each nail, and wrap your finger tips firmly with aluminium foil to hold the cotton in place. After 5 minutes remove the foil and use the cotton wool to wipe the nail clean. The polish will have been softened and should remove much easier.
Finally after removing your nail polish give those nails some love with a cuticle oil or hand moisturiser. Then you’re ready for your next manicure.
